Who is behind HMARA

HMARA is a small, independently operated product built for people who need a calm place to talk through what they are feeling. This page explains who runs it, why it exists, the principles behind how it is built, and where its role ends and professional care begins.

Who operates HMARA

HMARA is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Oleksii Khudenko, based in Kyiv, Ukraine. There is no separate company structure behind the product — one operator is responsible for what HMARA says, how it handles data, and how it responds when something goes wrong. Questions, complaints, and data requests can be sent to oleksiikhudenko61@gmail.com at any time.

Why HMARA exists

Not every difficult moment needs a clinical appointment, and not everyone has one available at two in the morning. HMARA exists for the space in between: a place to say out loud what is happening, be met without judgment, and notice how your own thinking changes over days and weeks. It was built because that space — private, always available, and honest about its limits — did not already exist in a form its operator trusted enough to use.

What guides how HMARA is built

1

Say what HMARA is, plainly

HMARA is an AI companion, not a person and not a clinician. Every page on this site and inside the app says so directly, instead of implying more than the product delivers.

2

Privacy comes before growth

Conversations exist to support you, not to train a public model or build an advertising profile. What that means in practice is detailed in the Privacy Policy.

3

A visible boundary, not a hidden one

Every part of HMARA that touches difficult feelings is explicit that HMARA is not an emergency service and points toward local emergency services and professional care.

4

Small enough to be accountable

One operator, one inbox, one name attached to every decision — not a support queue that disappears into a large organization.

What HMARA is not

HMARA is not a licensed therapist, a doctor, or an emergency service, and it does not diagnose or treat any medical or psychological condition. It is a supportive conversation partner, not a replacement for professional mental health care. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis line for where you are located.
